I can't believe 2011 is here and the first month is almost half over. I have so much on my agenda, so much I want to get done. I've been thinking about my cosmic stories and really want to get Cosmic Touch finished. I'm still editing and putting touches on it before submitting.

If you've read any of my Cosmic books, I would love to hear what you think of them. Are they zany enough for you? Want more silly, sex, love? The next two heroes, Ace and Deuce are really sexy, two brothers, who know what they want, and get what they want, after all, they're sons of the infamous - Jack of Hearts.

Jack & Ginger's encounter...exclusive blog excerpt:

“Hey, stunner, how about that dance now?”

Ginger’s eyes widened. He placed his most seductive smile on his face and hoped it would win her over to accepting his offer. Normally, a female couldn’t resist his smile or his magnetism. Why should she be any different? But she was different, she was unlike any female he’d encountered so far. His easy way with females would only assist him, wouldn’t it? Hell, he hoped so.

She hesitated and didn’t seem to know what to say.

“Go ahead, Ginger. I’ll just order another drink for us, before we call it a night.”

Thanks to her friend’s insistence, what’s her name, Ginger rose and took his outstretched hand. She seemed to wobble on her feet, but Jack reached out and placed his hand on her waist, steadying her. Had the female become inebriated? If so, it would only help him in his quest to get to know her. He smiled widely, taking her hand and leading her to the dance floor. Fortunately, the disco songs ended an hour before and only slow country songs played. Divine’s was one weird place.

He moved to a secluded spot in the corner and turned her to face him. Placing his hands on her waist, he began swaying to the music. Holding her increased his crotch cobra’s reaction. Damned if it didn’t twitch.

Ginger set her hands on his shoulders and smiled at him. He studied her lips, the way they widened then closed. His cobra slithered against his leg and twitched again, as if it wanted out and her lips surrounding it.

Dancing to an ancient country tune by Patsy Cline, the lyrics of Crazy played in a sultry aura around them. He didn’t say anything, only looked into her eyes. Before the song ended, Jack took the opportunity to get to know her.

“Where are you from, honey?” He waited for her to answer, but she got her spurs all tangled up and frowned at him. “Did I say something wrong?”

“Ah, no. It’s just that my father calls me honey and… I’m not too happy with him right now.”

“Is that so? Well, I’m not your father, darlin’.” He didn’t like being compared to anyone’s father. Hell, most father’s wouldn’t want him around their daughters.

“I’m sorry, you’re right. I’m local, a Celtaxy native being. Where are you from, Jack?”

Jack grinned, pulling her a bit closer. Soon she would be settled against him—right where he wanted her, near his cobra. A spark of excitement ran through him, and with another twitch, his cobra stretched.

“I live on Planet Appaloosa, but I’m originally from Kion.”

“Wasn’t Kion destroyed a few solar-years ago?”

“Yeah, it was.” His voice saddened whenever he spoke of Kion. “A meshing of the galaxies. After that, I lived on Gasper and Kiumbria for a while, before I moved to Appaloosa.”

“You’ve been around the universe, huh. I’ve never heard of Appaloosa. What’s it like there?”

Jack’s smile couldn’t have grown any wider. He loved his planet and loved talking about it, because usually beings weren’t familiar with the secluded planet.

“It’s in this galaxy, but near the outer planets, not too far from the sun. I’m closer to the Milky Way than here though. My planet is mostly farmland, except for a few oceans. There’s lots of livestock and wild animals. Appaloosa is serene and peaceful. But you do have to watch out for snakes.”

“What are you doing here on Celtaxy? Business? What do you do?”

He felt Ginger pressing her fingers into his hard shoulders. His muscles rippled beneath his shirt at her touch. She stepped a few more inches closer to him. Why did her scent drive him crazy? She smelled of wildflowers and sunshine, which reminded him of home.

Jack ran his hand over her waist, just under her breast, letting it caress her in a way he knew was pleasurable. His other hand remained still, but itched badly to move to her sweet, sexy ass. Oh, he definitely wanted to feel all her curves. Pulling her another inch closer, she was almost right where he wanted her—against his cock.

For a moment, he reveled in the idea of her against him. “I’m a cowboy.”

“A what?” She giggled.

“Cowboy, you know, range-riding, bronco-busting, rope-wielding…cowboy.”

A smile tugged the edges of her sexy mouth, at the slow drawl of his words.

“Oh my, a real live cowboy. You don’t look like a cowboy. Aren’t cowboys dirty, extremely buff, and hairy? I thought that career went out when Earth was destroyed. You mean cowboys still exist?”

“We exist all right. You got a warped view of us. I’m not dirty in that sense, maybe a bit buff, and a might hairy in certain places. You’re looking at an honest-to-God cowboy, ma’am.” Jack twirled her around and grinned. “When I’m off my planet, I usually dress more modern, but I like being natural. I’m here visiting friends, and then I’m off to see my brother.”

“Natural? I hope that includes wearing clothes.”

He grinned. “Nope. Well sometimes, when I’m out on the range.”

“Does your brother live on Celtaxy? I’ve lived here all my life. Perhaps I know him?”

“No, he lives on a planet close by.”

“Oh.” Her eyes stayed on his as if she studied his veracity.

The sound of the sweet tune playing around them set the mood, the perfect atmosphere for kissing. Finally, Jack had enough of the ‘getting to know her,’ and in a practiced move, he cupped her back, pressing her intimately against his hissing cobra. Movements from their dancing and the way their bodies touch, helped to increase the heat between them.

Keep your cobra in your pants, he told himself. Unable to resist, he moved in position, needing to kiss her. He was so close enough to see the chips of deep-blue inside the light-blue rim of her eyes. Damn, she was more than beautiful. The sexy red top she wore hugged the curve of her breasts. He wanted to run his hands under the material, skin to skin.

She’s not like the others, behave yourself, guy.

Women. It all boiled down to his interaction with women. As far as Vance’s mother and her Personal-Attendant-Moderator, PAM, were concerned, he’d be a deviant who ran around Kiumbria wanting to fuck any woman who came within two solar-feet of him. It had always been their wish to turn him into a man who was desired by all the women on the planet, all because PAM delighted in the knowledge of his sexual encounters. Never mind that he’d had a different plan for his life. Not that he didn’t love women; there was just one woman he couldn’t stop thinking about.

“I’ve handled the guards for tonight. They’re gorgeous and asked to be assigned to you, but I’m not surprised. You are so like your Uncle Jack, too appealing for your own good.”

Vance didn’t like being compared to his father’s brother, the infamous Jack of Hearts. Jack had a reputation which was exactly what

his mother’s moderator was obsessed with—a reputation with the ladies.

“Yeah, just like Uncle Jack. I’ve only been home for a week and already—”

She touched his chin, and he swallowed the rest of his words. His mother probably knew he’d berate her for the way the family teased him about being a sex-idol. As far as he was concerned, he was as far from a sex-idol as one could be.

“I know, handsome. Are you sure you wouldn’t rather travel with us?” His mother had entered his unit five minutes ago and already she was talking about the women she’d assigned to intrude on his privacy.

What could he do? Absolutely nothing, because arguing with his mother was pointless. Vance knew better than to argue with her or PAM. Tensing, he listened for sounds of that outrageous moderator, the computer who tried to run everyone’s lives, but the audio systems overhead remained quiet. His mother must have sent PAM searching through her vast array of text-volumes for something insignificant. He supposed he should thank his mother for the peace. Time away from PAM was exactly what he needed.

Since he’d been a youngling, he’d been taught the finer aspects of sex and all that it encompassed. The men in his family had a reputation for being sex-idols, according to PAM, but Vance never aspired to such idiocy. PAM’s interest in their sexual activity became sort of a joke between the men and the women in the family. Sure he knew how to please a woman, knew every erogenous zone, knew exactly where to touch a woman to bring her to pleasure, but he considered sex a private issue—not something that should be discussed so openly, especially with a computer.

Druk, he’d settle for one woman he could share his life with—not a pack of minions who used him for sex and who’d casually discard him when they were through. His Uncle Jack might have enjoyed liaisons like that when he’d been young, but Vance didn’t. Subtly, he rejected his mother’s guards and they still did everything in their power to be noticed.

“I have my own transport. I’m old enough to travel by myself.” He almost laughed at having to remind his mother that he was an adult.

“I understand, Vance. Sometimes it is easy to forget you’ve grown into a handsome young man. You’ve been away for so long, I still think of you as my sweet boy.”

“I’m not a boy. You’re going to have to come to terms with that. You and Dad—”

She put her hand on his shoulder, giving him an affectionate squeeze. “Oh, I remember when I had to remind my mother of that when I was your age. It’s not easy for parents to accept their children are grown up and no longer need them. Still, I don’t think you should travel without the guards.”

Minions, she meant. His mother’s guard—a regiment of beautiful, dangerously intimidating women who would do anything to please him. Vance kept up the pretense of enjoying them if only to get his mother and her moderator off his back. Since he’d returned home, they went everywhere with him. The women would hang on his arms, stand near him and touch him whenever he gave them an opening… It was enough to drive him crazy, definitely farzen nuts.

PAM was unlike anything in the universe. She was programmed to interact with people on a more personal level—almost like a human. PAM thought of herself as a family member, one who liked to toy with

everyone’s inner psyche. Fortunately for Vance, his father had forbidden her access to Vance in his younger years.

“I’m planning on staying on Celtaxy for a day or two. I thought I might visit—”

She let her hand slip to his bicep in a soothing gesture. “Oh, but you can’t. Now that you’re home again, your father wants to discuss the future of Kiumbria and a possible marriage to Princess Helgon. You won’t disappoint him, will you?”

The soft plea in her voice made him cringe. After arriving home from a lengthy stay at the university, he had no choice but to accept his future—the future they’d already planned for him. The idea of an arranged marriage, given the times they lived in, made him want to hide away in a lab.

“No, of course not. Mom, you know how much Dad means to me. But I won’t be marrying a woman named Helgon, not in this lifetime.”

His mother sighed. “She’s rather pretty. It would make your father happy. Promise you’ll at least consider it…that you’ll at least meet her?”

Not for one druking solar-second would he consider such lunacy. Princess Helgon was the last person he’d marry. Besides, he only wanted one woman—a woman who drove him to distraction, a women who smiled when she insulted him, a woman who avoided him.

For those of you waiting... Cosmic Chemistry was delayed in its release due to my poor editor needing eye surgery. It's being edited and will be released at the end of November! Cosmic Chemistry has come a long way...from being a must read at *that unmentionable publishing house* almost in print (sigh) to being left in my laptop in despair...to renewal at Aspen Mountain Press. It's come a long way and I certainly hope readers enjoy Jack and Ginger's story as much as I enjoyed writing it. Jack and Ginger have Chemistry, but is that enough to surrender to love?

Whew, well it's been a while since I posted, but I'm here - diligently working on the next cosmic story. Cosmic Chemistry will soon be released and I can't wait until you get to visit with Jack and Ginger. It's one hilarious romp in the future. Cosmic Chemistry, the second book, is about Jack, a sexy guy who lives like an ancient cowboy on Planet Appaloosa. When Ginger is put on the Martian Mafia's hit list, she hides out on his planet and has misconceptions about the sexy man wearing the strange ancient garments. Being a physexian, she should know...he's a candidate for her couch. But there's more to Jack than she realizes. Jack and Ginger have chemistry, but is it enough to satisfy their desires? This story is utterly sexy and Jack is a hero who melted my heart from the start. This story is coming out September 2008!

Cosmic Chaos, the third book, is about Vance (Chance & Valeen's son). He's finally returned home after extended years in education. All he wants to do is hang out in his lab all day, but his parents have other plans. When his friend, Kullanmuru literally runs into his transport, the chaos begins. Vance would like nothing better than to kiss her and get her to reveal all her secrets. But Kullan, an IEA agent, lets nothing stand in her way of completing her missions, especially her personal life... Kullan doesn't know how to connect or how to be sexy, but don't worry, Vance will teach her. Vance is sweet, charming, and a dream man worth reading. This story is coming out November 2008!

Cosmic Touch, the fourth book, is about Ace, Jack & Ginger's son). Ace, a secret IEA agent, uncovers the illegal activity of his boss and is sent to protection services where he's told he'll be living on a space station...as a gay hairdresser. There's just one problem Ace has with that--his attraction to his boss--the sexy Tarin. He wants to touch alright, but Tarin has no idea how much trouble that will cause. Ace has a lot of trouble keeping his hands off Tarin, this sexy story will have you laughing. This sweet humorous story coming in 2009!

Cosmic Signals, the fifth book, is about Deuce (Jack & Ginger's son and twin of Ace)... Following his brother to the space station, Deuce suddenly becomes baby sitter for a starlet, the sexy singer Kyanne. From the start, she sends signals that he can't resist. Deuce's priority though is protecting her from a stalker. Kyanne has no knowledge of the danger she's in from her stalker or from Deuce who fights his own signals in a battle of wills. If there's one zany chick out there...Kyanne is it and she knows how to drive Deuce crazy. This hilariously sexy story coming in 2009!

There's possibly a 6th story, but shhhh is a secret. My publisher doesn't even know about it yet. It's so hush-hush I can't even discuss it yet. But know that the heroine is going to rock and the hero (sigh) will be as sexy as can be! There will be a teen daughter in here too to add lots of humor. Let's just say that Hana will fall easily for Logan...but won't we all.

Hi friends,

Well...the edits are finished for Cosmic Hearts and it should be available soon. I cannot wait to have this book out there again. If you love a bit of sci-fi futuristic romance with sexy characters and fun...these books are definitely for you.

I just finished going through Cosmic Chemistry and sent it on to my editor. The book should be out sometime in September!

Now I just have to finish writing Cosmic Chaos...BUT the characters are still making themselves known to me. Every night as I lay trying to sleep they invade my head. And each night they reveal more things which changes up the scenes I've already written. So I will begin again tomorrow and try to set it to right.

Get Cosmic - Cosmic Hearts - Coming Soon

If you love fun books that will make you smile, perhaps laugh, or sigh at romance then Cosmic Hearts is for you.

Cosmic Hearts is set in the far-off future, but you won't be hampered by tech language or major sci-fi bits. When I was writing this story, a few types of characters and settings came to mind. Flash Gordon, the movie from the 80's was one, as well as, Austin Powers with it's funny lines. I couldn't help using puns and funny anecdotes to make the characters as zany as the story.

What a perfect time for Cosmic Hearts to be released! This story is coming to Aspen Mountain Press in July, during summer of all times. Chance and Valeen end up on a vacation planet and spend a little time in the sun.

Valeen felt a cool shadow move over her face and she opened her eyes. She expected to find the serving male returning with her drink or the adonis. Instead, she found King Chance of Kion.

“Princess,” his voice churned a butterfly inside her stomach.

“King Chance.” She moved to sit up, in a more graceful position.

“Please, remain seated, beautiful. I do not wish to disturb you.”

“What are you doing here?” Valeen took him in, smiling at his sexy tone, and incredulous that he stood before her. How had he found her? Stars. Who cared? What mattered was that he had.

His body looked somewhat pale to her, but that didn’t signify, because his ripples of muscle commanded her attention. His brawn made him appear godlike in his own right. Long blond strands were pulled back into a thong, and his sea-green eyes sparkled. His dress remained impeccable. He wore an open vested shirt of a black new-aged material over a bared chest, and pants tucked into his boots. The fabric tightened below his knees, where his boots ended below his calved muscles.

Of course, her eyes moved to his bulge. Thankfully, her spectacles hid her desire. She knew that PAM had to be raking her circuits over him, just as she was.

“I’ve come to finish our conversation, Princess Valeen. You left so quickly before … last time and … I didn’t get a chance to tell you the rest of my plan.” His eyes crinkled with his smile.

Her heart melted then and there. “Ah, yes.”

She removed her spectacle-enhancers, placed them beside her, and moved her wristband so PAM could get a better visual.

“Your plan in which I save the beings of Kion, you unite with me, against my mother’s wishes, and I get what? Oh, yes … you.”

“Yeah, look, you needn’t sound so damned druking displeased about it, but it’s all I have to offer you, myself, that is. If I could, I would give you everything … all that I have. I know I’m not much, but…”

PAM’s snicker sounded, he looked at her wristband.

Valeen moved her wrist, hiding the infrared button from his view. Stars. She hoped her moderator would behave, just once.

“I wouldn’t say that, hunk. You are definitely more than I could ever hope for.”

“Then you will consider my request?”

He sounded down right heartbreaking. Valeen smiled at his direct question, and she so wanted to consider his request. Her heart tore at his words. How sweet he was to offer her everything. She didn’t want everything, she just wanted him. He watched her silently and she thought how to answer him. His face held a serious gaze. She needed to lighten the situation, because his expression was so severe. She laughed.

“Why not? I’ll certainly give it thought.”

Chance chuckled at her easy acceptance. “May I join you?”

She waved a hand to the chaise beside hers.

He settled on the lounge, beside the golden drapes that surrounded the cabana, blocking most of the being’s visual of them. The serving male returned with her drink, and he placed it beside her and turned to Chance.

“Your Highness, is there anything I can get you?”

“A whisky, make it a double.”

He looked as though he could use three of them to ease his tenseness. The attendant nodded at him, then walked away. She continued to peer at him, and wondered how he came to find her on Laguna.

“So, Valeen, do you enjoy this place and the view of the male beings here?”
His wonderful male scent floated toward her on the wisp of a gentle warm breeze. A boyish grin played on his lips, and his eyes suddenly turned greener.

“It is a beautiful place, Laguna, isn’t it? The males are just a bonus.”

He grinned. “Ahhh, so you admit it then?”

Valeen laughed at his easy manner. His mood lightened since he’d sat down. Chance must have thought her being veracious funny. She supposed she didn’t seem the type to go for this kind of resort though. But then again, she tested him at the casino and felt his credentials. If she cared one iota about her reputation, she would be frowning. Since it didn’t much matter to her, she teased him.

“Admit what?” She smiled back.

Digipicts - Characters

Wonder how an author visualizes characters?

For me, the characters show themselves in my mind. They smile and show me their demeanor. I can totally envision who a character is by the time I begin writing their story. I usually try to find a picture (digipict) of real people to portray my characters, so I can use it as a tool for descriptions.

Cygnus Casino - A casino (like the old-world ones in Vegas) on Chance's planet, Kion.

Chance's home planet. Kion is located in the Andromeda Galaxy, on the cusp of the Milky Way Galaxy. The planet's demise is imminent when the galaxies collide.

Author's Note: The Andromeda and the Milky Way Galaxies will one day collide, but scientists believe it will happen millions of years from now. We're all safe for the time being!

Get to know the characters from COSMIC HEARTS...

Chance - he is king of Planet Kion. Standing at 6 feet tall, he has lighter hair, not necessary blond, but lighter than brown. He's broad and a bit muscular but not like a body-builder. He likes to wear dark clothes, unpretentious, yet eludes a royal presence. He was named Game of Chance, but no one dares to call him that. Chance likes knowledge and he's fond of reading text-volumes, especially those that have to do with a certain servicing machine!

Valeen - Princess of Vestalumbria. She might be tall, but really...she is a princess. She might be able to fend off attackers, but really...she wants to be loved by a "real" live male being. She has long light hair and brown eyes, but she can change her appearance anytime she wishes. She'd rather wear the dark hair and blue eyes that she's fond of. Valeen likes shiny clothes, especially her cat-suit - which molds itself to her body. Her better half is a computer named PAM, who is the essence of a wickedly perverted computer.

Hi and welcome to my Cosmic world!

My Cosmic books came about when I needed to let my imagination run wild. I had been writing several intensely researched historical books, and I wanted to let loose a bit. The idea came to me for Cosmic Hearts and just flowed out in a matter of a month. I suppose I might have been watching too many sci-fi films at the time and those images got stuck in my mind. If you can imagine a zany world, sort of a cross between Austin Powers - meets Star Trek - meets Flash Gordon ...

My Cosmic books are definitely zany and sexy. They're meant to be funny, yet with romance and touches of sass, and enough spice to heat up the page. I doubt you've read anything like these stories. You may even wonder about my sanity when you get to the last page.

Aspen Mountain Press has accepted my Cosmic stories and they'll be released this summer in various formats. Stay tuned for news about their releases. In the meantime, I'll be sharing how these stories came to be, where I get my ideas, character insight, vocabulary help, and I just may be persuaded to share snips from the actual books.
